LAVA Chocolate
For this project I wanted to capture the raw power of nature, putting a minimalist, modern stylistic treatment to my brand.
For the logo, I wanted to find a font that felt modern, yet with this natural fluidity. Mendl Sans turned out to be a perfect mesh of the two in my eyes. Paired with Century Gothic, the logo type, after a few tweaks, was exactly where I wanted it to be!
For the color palette, I took the colors from the three images I was using, trying to get the most vibrant colors I could so that they would pop! The main package colors remains very simple, only using black and white, to better highlight the images I'm using.
Every purchase of these chocolate bars will help fund environmental cleanup initiatives by donating 10% of net sales to environmental organizations and funds. Above are some badges that can be found on the back of each flavor of my chocolate bars, each bar’s sales contributing to a different environmental initiative.
For my flavors, I chose Sea Salt, Pistachio, and Orange. Just like the flavor palettes of these different chocolates, I wanted to use differing colors in my design.
As the final part of the brand 'launch' I created five different brand deliverables, encapsulating a variety of items I use on a daily basis.
Below are the five deliverables I created for LAVA Chocolate
The items I chose for these brand extentions are those that I would find myself using daily, so I thought them to be the best candidates for potential merchandise for the LAVA Chocolate brand.
